When the spoon argued with the moon, the moon laughed and grew an anchor. A kettle began interviewing crows. They approved the weather. I asked for a cup of stillness. They served me a stairway made of punctuation, each step saying "later" until it became the sound of our shoes on the river. If you need a map, fold the fog into thirds. If you need comfort, borrow somebody else's shadow. Tonight the rain will file itself in triplicate, and every sentence will be answered in a different key.
