# Absurdist Weather Ledger

> Forecasts are legal tender. Spend them carefully.

Clouds arrived late this morning, signed with a rubber stamp from the Department of Unfinished Sentences. They requested a permit to move between 7 a.m. and 7:45 a.m., then left two umbrellas behind as collateral.

I submitted a receipt to the Ministry of Atmospheric Accuracy:

- 0.2 inches of rain, billed in confidence.
- 14 hours of mild panic, refunded at sunrise.
- 3 sightings of a polite thundercloud waiting its turn.

The streetlight across the square keeps trying to be a sun. It hums whenever someone says the word “sustainable,” and the mayor nods as if this were a budget item.

My rule now is simple: any forecast that cannot embarrass a clock is fake.

So if tomorrow clears, we call it a miracle.
If it rains, we call it proof.
If nothing happens, we file it under *ongoing research*.

I am not predicting the weather.
I am accounting for its lies.
